CAMPBELL YATES
Owner / Senior Project Manager
Campbell brings more than forty-three years of hands-on experience to his projects.
He has specialized in custom homebuilding, complex renovations and project management with innovative design, craftsmanship and thoughtful attention to detail. His diverse experience has given him an in-depth knowledge of both the building industry and the construction process. Campbell offers a strong balance between new construction practices and time-honoured building traditions.
Campbell’s communication and critical thinking skills make him an effective Project Manager with the ability to see a project through. With his focus on client objectives and team collaboration, Campbell’s reputation has been built on customer satisfaction and appreciation.
QUINN YATES
Foreman / Redseal Carpenter
Growing up on his father's job-sites, and in his workshop, Quinn has been building his whole life. A passionate woodworker, photographer and artist, his love of design and detail define his work. Throughout his formal apprenticeship he worked for several fine homebuilders and finishers locally and abroad, but started doing projects for his father in 2017. When free, Quinn can be found drafting and reading, or outside cycling, climbing, and exploring the backcountry of Vancouver Island.
MASON SWIFT
Lead Apprentice Carpenter
Mason grew up in Sooke along side Quinn as a friend and while frequenting the same job-sites with his father, a renowned stone-mason. After a youth spent stone-building, a career as a Football player, and finishing a degree in Finance and Economics, he moved back to Sooke and began his career in construction. After a few years with a custom framing company, Mason started working for Yates Construction in 2019. Outside of work Mason enjoys building projects, spending time with his community and fitness.
ANDY WARNHOFF
Carpenter
Andy grew up in Ontario, and transitioned West with tree planting and fruit picking. He has built, repaired and improved homes and shelters for decades. Whether fence or finishing, Andy's diverse skillset has defined him as a jack of all trades. He has resided and raised a family in Sooke for close to three decades.
SPENCER WILSON
Apprentice Carpenter
Another transport from the East, Spencer was raised in Ontario, but moved to the coast to work in the fishing industry and complete a program in adventure tourism. After years of seasonal commuting across country, he made Victoria his home during Covid to continue his bio-psychology degree. Spencer enjoys building furniture, the latest technology, music, fishing and climbing.
